Happy Valentine's Day!!!

21 FB by SLewis Photography

It's cold in Kansas City, so we're doing our Valentine Photos inside this year!
There is never a dull moment in our house!  This is a typical photo shoot attempt with my children!
They were both screaming and making high pitch noises, but hey, at least they are both half smiling!

Life in Kansas City *52 week project*

Q set up his Angry birds so they could look out the hotel window, while he played Angry Birds Star Wars on his kindle.  I was hoping we would have a better view of downtown Kansas City from our room, but we were on the wrong side of the hotel.  Oh well, maybe next time!

Ms. E decided this week it would be okay to keep something on her head for more than half a second!  She insists on wearing her tights on her head, but I somehow convinced her to wear a scarf instead.  This scarf stayed on her head just long enough for me to take one photo!  I was close enough to her, to hold the bottom of the scarf in one hand, and shoot with the other.  Multi-tasking at it's greatest!

Ms. E get's SO excited when I tell her the bus is coming, and Q will be home from school!
It was 60 degree's on Friday, so we hung out in the front yard to await his arrival!
She started running across the yard when she saw the bus!
I hope she always looks up to her big brother this way!

Life in Kansas City *52 week project*

This year I am doing a weekly photography project.

I want to document our every day life in Kansas City!

Kansas City has so much to offer!  Every weekend there is a free event hosted somewhere within a short driving distance.
We try to go to as many kid friendly events as we possibly can during the year!
We love all of the local farmers markets.  The City Market is one of our favorites!  Every first weekend they host a festival of sorts, with kid games and the vendors often have samples!

My goal with this project is to document our daily life, so someday my children can look back
and see just how cool their parents truly are!
