My friend Heather Blanton was diagnosed with ALS in February of 2009.

Here is her story in her own words.


"One of the biggest challenges that I will ever have to face is this: I was recently diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) it is a nerve/ muscle disease. It is a debilitating terminal disease that they have yet to find a cure for. I was diagnosed in Feb 2009, and I am learning to cope with the fact of what is going to happen to me, but more I have learned to go forward with my life and not let it get to me, we are all put on this earth for a reason and the family and friends that I have and are making is why I was put on this earth. I just want anyone who reads my profile to know that I love all my family and friends and thank you all to have been anything and everything to me!

I pretty much trust everyone from the beginning, unless you give me a reason not to trust you. I don't take anything for granted!!"
